What is wrong with plastic recycling?

Of all the plastic ever produced - less than 10% percent has been recycled. In the U.S., about 76% of plastic waste goes into landfills, where it eventually breaks down into microplastics that contaminate our environment. An estimated 16% is burned, which produces greenhouse gases. An additional 1% ends up being littered and can end up in our food chain. (consumerreports.org).

Plastic industry has spent decades on multimillion-dollar campaigns making the public believe that if we recycle plastics, we are doing good. The estimated 5 to 6% U.S. domestic plastic recycling rate in 2021 should be a wake-up call to stop pretending that plastics recycling is a viable solution to plastic waste and pollution.

Tare - Weigh your empty container at the counter to get its tare weight.

Label - Write the tare weight and the product sku on your container or provided refill sheet.

Fill - Fill your container with the product and quantity you need.

Pay - We'll reweigh your filled container, and our system will automatically deduct the tare weight from the total price.
